In a recent daily prompt. We were asked who we would like to be. I chose Dory. I wanted the chance to not remember and to just live in the moment. For the Last four days, I have lived that life. I have gotten to be Dory.
Left life Behind
I traveled cross country with my husband to celebrate his graduation from the LA Film Institute. I left work behind. Almost left school behind (I did a mid-term while I was here), but otherwise. I have just lived in the moment. Enjoying the time with my husband and celebrating his accomplishment.
Tomorrow morning, We leave to return to everything we left behind. I will admit. It has been very nice to be Dory. Not worrying about what I should be doing, what needs to be done, and just living for the moment and today. Perhaps living a Dory for a few days will give me grace to handle picking up the reigns and facing what I left behind. Time will tell.
