My Dream Home has changed over the years. In my 20’s I wanted a 5 bedroom, 5 bath, with swimming pool by the beach. Of course it came with a playground in the back for the kids, and a barbeque for my husband. It also came with a cleaning crew.
My dream home now is a three bedroom 1 1/2 bath open concept single story home on an acre of land. A bed room for my husband and I, and two offices. Him a studio to record out of, and me a regular home office. To write and to eventually see clients via telehealth.
Our kids are grown, making sure couches convert to something convertible will allow for guest to stay, but not overstay, and I don’t have to have a cleaning crew of 10 to keep things up.
I am no longer trying to keep up with the Jones’ or trying to have the latest and greatest. I just want a home that is cozy, mine, approachable to those invited, and far away enough from the hustle and bustle that I can relax and breath.
I am blessed to have the bones of that dream home, and with patience, elbow grease, and patience(it deserves repeating), I will have not only my dream home, but my forever home, and a legacy to leave behind to the next generation debt free. Something I will be forever grateful for.
