When my children were growing up, there wasn’t always money for a lot of birthday gifts or special events. So they got to pick their cake and birthday dinner to be handmade and served just for them. Even if it was something Mommy and Daddy didn’t like. To this day They pick their own cake and dinner. It has and always will be a celebration of love. Just now it’s gone from chicken nuggets to Shrimp Alfredo. Sigh, lol.
