A New Decade….A New Hope begins today. Today is the first day in not only a New Year, but a new Decade. Before we decide where we are going, it pays to look at where we have been. 2010-2020 I know for me personally was an incredibly fast paced roller coaster ride of highs and lows.

Record Highs

This Decade, I have been blessed to watch all three of my children graduate from high school, one graduated from college with not only her Bachelor’s but her Master’s Degree. I have watched one walk down the isle to the Man of her dreams (She found him when she wasn’t looking). I have watched another become engaged to A man who snuck up on her when she wasnt’ looking and made her smile again. Now I just have one left in the single world, and I am not in a hurry for that to change.

I too fulfilled a dream. At the age of 46, I walked accross the stage to receive my Master’s degree, and now have a career helping people overcome obstacles to reaching their dreams. It doesn’t matter age, disability, or circumstances. You can achieve it, if you keep trying.

Update

Whew! who knew how this decade was going to be….and we aren’t even halfway through it! Covid, Killer wasps, the loss of Betty White and so many more celebrities’ that I grew up with. The rise of TikTok(obsessed with the pet ones). So many lows, but hope always shown through. From the First Responders that still hold the line today in the battle against Covid to the individuals and families fighting to find their new normal. I don’t fear what comes next simply because “My God is Bigger than the Boogie Man” google that phrase if you want to see vegetables live up to their goodness.
